The math
Our test areas
In our 4 Chicago test areas, the median week had 7.5 records (fewest 1, most 22), about 33 a month. That's about $5 a record at list price, or $2 at the founding price. New York City test areas had a median of 90.5 a week (fewest 1, most 152), mostly failed rat inspections. Areas differ a lot, so type your ZIP above to see yours.

Test areas: pestcite engine lists for test territories in Chicago and New York City, every published complete week, Sep 28 – Nov 1, 2026; data as of Nov 8, 2026. Records: Food Inspections, Business Licenses, DOHMH New York City Restaurant Inspection Results, Rodent Inspection. How we count
A record is not a request for service. It's a business near you that a city inspector wrote up, or that got a new license, with the record link. You still make the call.
$149/month is the cost of 2 to 3.7 commercial pest leads from Google Local Services Ads, which run $40–75 per lead (Blue Grid Media, Mar 21, 2026, fetched Nov 7, 2026). At the founding price it's 1.1 to 2. Counting every Google lead, not only commercial ones, ResultCalls puts them at $25–60 per lead (ResultCalls 2026, fetched Nov 7, 2026).
A restaurant preventive pest contract runs $100–300/month (The Restaurant Owner's Guide, a restaurant cash-advance site's blog, May 16, 2026, fetched Nov 7, 2026). Win 1 to 2 and they bring in more than the list price each month, or 1 at the founding price. That's revenue, not profit: servicing the account costs you too.

What one territory gets you
- One area in Chicago or New York City: a circle around your shop (1, 2, 3, 5 or 10 miles) or a set of ZIP codes.
- City records only. A circle stops at the Chicago or New York City line, so the suburbs have no records.
- Every Monday, by email and on the web, the newest complete week of records in that area. Records post late, so that week ended at least a week before the Monday.
- Each line links to the government record. When a later inspection didn't repeat the citation, the line says so.
- The email shows the top 20 records, ranked. The web list and the CSV have every record in the area.
- In Chicago: violation 38 write-ups (insects, rodents and animals) and new food and child-care licenses.
- In New York City: restaurants cited for rats, mice, roaches or flies (codes 04K–04N), and privately owned commercial or 4+-unit apartment buildings that failed a rat inspection for rat activity.
Two areas, or both cities, means two territories.
How it compares
If you want calls from people who already want service, buy leads. If you want the businesses near you that a city inspector wrote up in the newest complete week, with the inspector's words and the record link, that's pestcite. Prices below are as published, with the source and the date we checked.

Questions
What happens when the trial ends?
Nothing is charged, because we never took a card. Your feed on the web, with past weeks, stays readable. Paid plans aren't open yet, so for now your Monday email and CSV export keep working after the trial; once they open, an unpaid trial's Monday email stops and export locks.
Will I look like I'm chasing a citation?
You choose who to call. Chicago lines show whether the inspection was a Pass or a Fail, and a line shows a later inspection that didn't repeat the citation when one has posted, so you can skip places that already fixed it. Chain locations are marked national account. A new license is a business just starting out, so the talk is about prevention. You never have to mention the record: you can simply offer an inspection. In an independent re-check, 37 of 37 sampled findings matched the live city records.
Is my territory exclusive?
No. Another firm can watch the same ZIP codes. The records are public, so anyone can look them up.
Re-check: A separate check, with code that shares nothing with our engine, of sampled findings from that day's run against the live city records, Nov 6, 2026. Records: Food Inspections, Business Licenses, DOHMH New York City Restaurant Inspection Results, Rodent Inspection. How we count
